CETL CTL Workshop 2023 – Advancing Teaching Excellence at GUB

Center of Excellence for Teaching and Learning (CETL) organized a 3 day long workshop on a 6 months long course (CTL) for newly recruited faculty members. This first phase of the workshop took place from 2nd to 4th February, 2023, titled as, “Certificate in Teaching and Learning at GUB: Step towards Quality & Excellence (Phase One)". The goal of the workshop is to strengthen the teaching attributes of faculty members together with education management competencies. Honorable Vice Chancellor, Prof. Md. Golam Samdani Fakir, honorable Registrar, honorable Treasurer, honorable Deans of all the faculties of GUB, honorable Director of CETL, Prof. Dr. ASM Shihavuddin and CETL Facilitators, Asst. Prof. Hasan Al Zubayer, Lecturer Sanzeeda Munir Prova altogether created a wonderfully warm welcoming atmosphere for the workshop attendees with their presence.

The workshop covered the some of the most sought-after elements of teachers training such as socialization, social capital, bloom taxonomy, teaching philosophies, online teaching and its applications and advancements, interactive teaching and learning etc. Moreover, there were some functional activities related to these concerns at this workshop for the attendees to engage in.

CTL is a mandatory certificate course for the fresher teachers at GUB, which CETL has been hosting since 2014 with a vision to strengthen teaching and learning capacity of university faculty members and follow up their achieved learning from demonstrated workshops throughout the semester with education management competencies.
