Exam Stress Management Seminar 2023 – Supporting Student Well-Being at GUB

On 27th March, 2023, the Green University Counseling Units organized a seminar on "Exam Stress Management" in response to the upcoming Mid-term Examination.

The seminar was held at 11 o'clock on ZOOM and featured a keynote address by Prof. Dr. ASM Shihavuddin, Director of Center of Excellence for Teaching and Learning (CETL), who introduced the Green Psychosocial Counseling Unit to the attendees. The Special Guest of the seminar, Dr. Molla Shahadat Hossain Lipu, Director of Green University Center for International Affairs (GCiA), also delivered a speech highlighting the importance of coping with stress before exams.

The seminar was then led by Mst Farhana Khatun, a Psychosocial Counsellor from the Green Psychosocial Counseling Unit, who shared valuable insights with the students on how to manage exam stress. Students were taught about the symptoms of exam stress and how to relate them to their current emotional state. In addition, practical tips and counseling techniques were shared with the students to help them handle exam stress properly. These techniques will enable students to manage their stress and utilize their valuable time to prepare well for the upcoming examination, while also maintaining a healthy and balanced lifestyle.

The seminar was highly beneficial for students who are currently experiencing exam stress. It provided them with essential knowledge and skills to effectively manage their stress, which will help them perform better in the upcoming examination. The seminar also demonstrated the commitment of Green University's Counseling Units to the overall well-being of its students. Overall, the seminar was a great success, and it is hoped that more such events will be organized in the future to support students in their academic pursuits.
